The 1771-P4 is a Power Supply Module manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This module is designed to output maximum of 8 Amps at 5 Volts DC voltage. At 8.0 Amps it can dissipate up to 17 Watts. Provide 97 to 132 Volts AC voltages with 57 Watts input power to this device to work properly. The 1771-P4 has built-in protective slow blow fuse 1.25 Amps rated. It is easily accessed from the front side of the module. The Allen-Bradley 1771-P4 is installed into 1771 I/O chassis slot after configuring keying bands between pins 12 and 14 and between pins 20 and 22. Do not insert or remove the module while backplane power is on because an electrical arc can occur. This power supply is 2-slot module. It can be installed in both series A and series B 1771 I/O chassis. The 1771-P4 is compatible with 1771-AL, 1771-AR, 1771-ASB, 1772-LWP, 1772-LSP, 1772-LXP, 1771-AS, 1772-LS, 1772-LW, and 1772-LX processors. When paralleling these power supplies to provide 16 Amps, use the 1771–CT power supply paralleling cable. The power supply to the I/O chassis can be discontinued over the switch located on the front panel.
The 1771-P4 can be used only in surroundings with ambient temperatures between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit). This item can be stored at -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit) temperatures. It has open style enclosure (IP00 rated). This item is delivered with the weight of 1.04 kilograms (2.3 pounds). The device is certified with CSA for process control equipment and is UL listed.
