The Allen Bradley 1771-P3 is a Power Supply Module. It provides 3 Amps (at 5.0 Volts DC) of current to 1771 series I/O chassis. Its power dissipation is around 8 Watts (at 3.0 Amps). The module is open style (IP00) enclosed and is better protected when inserted into I/O chassis slot. The 1771-P3 module is a single-slot module. Before inserting this module into the I/O chassis, be sure to put configuring keying bands between pins 12 and 14 and between 18 and 20. This device should be supplied with 120 Volts AC of single-phase voltage (0.42 Amps). For protection purposes, this unit should be supplied with a 60VA rated external transformer. The Allen Bradley 1771-P3 power supply module can be used in both the 1771-series A and the 1771-series B I/O chassis. It can be connected in parallel with another 1771-P3 power supply and with the paralleling cable (order number 1771–CT). This power supply module implements a soft start feature to improve power supply reliability. There is an LED status indicator located on the front of the panel to signal regular operating state or an alarm.
This device can be stored at -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit) temperatures. Do not operate this power supply module at temperatures higher than 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit) and lower than 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit). The module’s weight is approximated at 0.73 kilograms (1.6 pounds). The device is internally protected with 1 Amp rated slow blow fuse. The 1771-P3 is UL listed and CSA certified.
