The Allen-Bradley 1771-P10 is a Power Supply Module. It outputs 8 Amps of current to the I/O chassis at 5 Volts DC. This module can power up both series A and B of 1771 series I/O chassis. The input terminals of this unit must be connected to 97 to 145 Volts DC voltage for proper module operation. This module can be used with processors, without requiring an integral power supply. It cannot, however, be used with 1772-LSP, 1772-LWP, or 1772-LXP processors. The list of processors that this power supply module applies to includes 1772-LS, 1772-LW, 1772-LX, 1771AL, 1771AR2, 1771ASB, and 1771-AS. The 1771-P10 power supply should not be connected in parallel to any other power supply unit except another 1771-P10 power supply. There is a parallel connector on the front of the device that can be used for connecting 2 of these power supplies. The interface of the 1771-P10 consists of LED status indicators that show module status, 1.5 Amps 250 Volts slow blow fuse, power switch, and connecting terminals.

Be sure to turn the power switch to off position and to turn off I/O chassis power when installing this device into desired I/O chassis slot. Put keying bands between pins 12 and 14 and between 20 and 22 for proper module configuration. The 1771-P10 module monitors itself for overvoltage, undervoltage, and overcurrent conditions. If there is an alarm, the user will be notified of it over the LED status indicator. The 1771-P10 Power Supply Module can operate at 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) temperatures and you can store it at-40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit) temperatures.
