The Allen-Bradley 1771-OP is a Digital AC Output Module that belongs to PLC-5 Processors in a 1771 platform. It houses 4 electrically-protected outputs and operates at 92 to 138 Volts AC. If its triac fails shorted, you must open its fuse to protect each output. The backplane current for this module is 350 mA at 5 Volts DC. It has a conformal coating and comes with a rack mountable option. It also comes along with 1771-WA field wiring arm and meets UL and CSA standards. The 1771-OP module’s typical AC signal delay (off) is at 45 (+/- 15) ms while its typical DC signal delay (off) is 50 milliseconds.
The PLC-5 processors in a 1771 I/O product line (including the 1771-OP module) produce a proven method for industrial management. The 1771 I/O series provides analog, digital, or intelligent I/O modules that are helpful for diverse applications. These processors are highly-efficient, single-slot modules that are best for information and control processing. They are built for regulatory and continuous control applications that require specialized I/O demands. The modules under this series are also useful for those applications that need coordination with other devices and processors. PLC-5 modules are available in various memory size and I/O capacity. They can be connected in different networks for distributed I/O and processing. The 1771-OP module is engineered to function perfectly at temperatures between 32 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit and in an environment with 5% to 95% relative humidity without condensation. It falls under the 120 Volt AC voltage category and has 2 amperes maximum continuous current per output and 6 amperes maximum current per module. Like other 1771 I/O modules, the 1771-OP includes filter circuitry and optical coupling for signal noise moderation.
