Other Available Revisions for the 1771-OG 1771-OG//A
The 1771-OG is a TTL output module to be used with the 1771 systems from Allen Bradley. Any TTL device that meets the criteria of the logic level specification can be used. The logic level specification for a signal to be low is -0.2 to 0.8 Volts DC and for a signal to be considered as high the voltage should be 2.0 to 5.25 Volts DC. The 1771-OG requires around 5 Volts DC. The module can be powered from the backplane of the I/O chassis and it draws a current of 168 milli-Amp. You can also connect an external power supply which provides 5 Volts DC and having a minimum current capacity of 250 milliAmps.
When installing the module, it is necessary to wear wrist strap grounding device to discharge any static charge to prevent damage due to electrostatic discharge. The user should not touch any connectors or pins without discharging the static charge as the device is sensitive to electrostatic discharge. The 1771-OG has 8 outputs and the maximum output source current is 1 milliAmps and the sink current is 20 milliAmps. The maximum power dissipation of the device is 2.2 Watts. The operating temperature of the module should be 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and the storage temperature should be -40 to 85 degrees Celsius in a non-condensing humid environment having humidity of 5 to 95%. The power to the I/O chassis should be turned OFF when replacing the 1771-OG.
