The 1771-OFE1K is an analog output module manufactured by Allen Bradley. It is a conformal coated module, which means the coating protects the module from humidity and dust contamination providing longer life to the device. The 1771-OFE1K has four isolated differential outputs and you can connect various motor speed controllers, valve positioners or signal converters to the outputs. The outputs can be selected by sending a 12 digit binary number or a 4 digit BCD number. The module will convert the data into proportional output voltage. The processor and the module communicate to determine whether the transfer was made without an error. You can select the output voltage ranges on the 1771-OFE1K by setting the configuration jumpers.
The 1771-OFE1K has a power dissipation of 7.9 Watts and the backplane power requirement is 1.50 Amps. The output impedance is less than 0.25 Ohms. The device is tested to be operated in an ambient temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, and it is recommended to store it at a temperature of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. The humidity of the environment should be non condensing between 5 and 95%. The conformal coating prevents the damages due to environmental hazards and minimizes the stress on the PCB due to environmental changes and improves the efficiency and the life expectancy of the device. The 1771-OFE1K has the various agency certifications which include CSA, UL certified for hazardous and non hazardous locations and is CE marked for all applicable directives.
