The Rockwell automation/Allen Bradley 1771-OD16K is a conformally coated AC isolated output module with 16 output channels. The module is meant to be mounted on a rack. For optimal performance of the 1771-OD16K module, it has to be operated within an industrial setting that has a temperature ranging from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and a relative humidity of between 5 and 95 percent without condensation. When not in operation, the module can withstand a temperature of between -40 and 85 degree Celsius. The conformal coating sets the 1771-OD16K apart from the 1771-OD16 in that it can be operated in environments with extreme temperature and humidity levels and at the same time provide a reliable performance. The 1771-OD16K conformally coated AC isolated output module has an operating voltage of 74 to 138 Volts of Alternating Current and it draws a current of 250 Amperes from the backplane. When wiring, the module accommodates the 1771-WN wiring arm and a wire size not exceeding 14 gauge with a maximum insulation of 2 millimeters.
The 1771-OD16K module has its power dissipation rated at between 1.25 and 13.25 Watts and a thermal dissipation rating ranging between 4.3 and 45.2 BTU per hour. When in operation, the module can accommodate a vibration of 2G at a frequency of between 10 and 500 Hertz and a shock of 30g. Additionally, the 1771-OD16K module can withstand a shock of 50g when not in operation. For monitoring and troubleshooting, the 1771-OD16K module has 18 LED indicators on its front panel (one indicator for each channel, one active status indicator, and one blown fuse indicator.)
