The 1771-OAN PLC 5 module is an AC output module that has been designed by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation and included in the 1771 product line. This specific module operates as a source output module and it needs to be connected to a sinking input device that can provide a path to the ground. Source output modules like this one provide a positive voltage path. This module is not compatible with 2-slot addressing. If 2-slot addressing is going to be used, the module needs to be installed with 1-slot addressing that has proper restrictions or 1/2 slot addressing without restrictions in the system. The 1771-OAN AC output module is compatible with different Mini-PLCs, specifically with the Mini-PLC-2/02, 2/16, 2/17, and the PLC 5/15 models from Allen-Bradley. It can also be used with remote I/O adapters. The module must not be placed in the same chassis as a thermocouple module.
