Other Available Revisions for the 1771-OA 1771-OA//A1771-OA//B
The Allen-Bradley 1771-OA is an AC output module with 8 outputs. The module occupies a single slot in the Input/Output chassis and it has a voltage range (output) of between 92 and 138 Volts AC at 47 to 63 Hertz. The output current rating for the 1771-OA module is 1.5 Amps per output module and it is a maximum of 6 Amps per module. The module’s maximum surge current is 4 Amps per output at 120 Volts AC for a period of 8.3 milliseconds (at 1-second repetition), a minimum load current of 50 milliamps/output at 120 Volts at 60 Hertz.
The on-state voltage drop for the 1771-OA module is rated at 2 Volts at 100 milliamperes and a maximum off-state leakage current of 5 milliamps/output at 120 Volts AC. The 1771-OA has an off-on signal delay of 1 milliseconds and an on-off delay of 8.3 milliseconds at 60 Hertz. The 1771-OA AC output module draws a current (from the backplane) of 210 milliamperes at 5 Volts DC, +/-5 percent. The power dissipation rating for the module is at 10.7W (maximum) and it is a minimum of 1.1W, its thermal dissipation rating is a maximum and minimum of 36.6 and 3.4 BTU per hour, respectively.
The 1771-OA module uses the 1771-WA field wiring arm which has a wiring screw torque of 7 to 9 pounds on an inch. Additionally, the 1771-OA uses keying pins between 4 and 6 and 12 and 14 and uses a fuse rated 2 Amps, 250 Volts. For monitoring and troubleshooting, the 1771-OA module has 9 LED indicators (one for each output channel and one to cater for the blown fuse). A single 1771-OA output channel can be used to drive a motor starter (max. size 4) when the supply voltage is greater than or equal to 92 Volts.

The PLC 5 1771-OA module is an Allen-Bradley manufactured I/O module. It comes with 8 digital outputs and it is powered with a voltage rating of 120 Volts AC. It has a current rating of 1.5 Amps and it is supplied with a backplane current of 210 milliamps. It uses the 1771-WA wiring arm. This digital AC output module uses BDC or a natural binary data format for processing. It has an AC signal delay of 45 milliseconds and a DC signal delay (Off) of 50 milliseconds. The 1771-OA module can be easily mounted through rack mounting. The front section of the module has LED status indicators to show the status of each output. These indicators illuminate when a connection is made to the corresponding output. Each output is individually fused and it can be accessed through the front side cover.
The PLC 5 1771-OA output module has a power dissipation rating of 10.7 Watts and thermal dissipation rating of 36.6 BTU per hour. The adjacent slot dissipates 15 Watts of power. The 1771-OA module features an opto-electrical isolation rating of 1500 Volts for a time period of 2 seconds. It uses zero crossing technology to turn on when the output voltage is less than the specified voltage. During the installation process, the module should be properly grounded. It should not be exposed to electrostatic discharge because the parts are sensitive and may cause internal damage. The 1771-OA module uses 14-22 AWG cable for wiring. The temperature range should be set between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius for regular operation. It can withstand both operating and non-operating shocks and vibrations for a limited time period.
The 1771-OA module is an I/O module with 8 digital outputs. It has a voltage rating of 120 Volts AC.
