Other Available Revisions for the 1771-NT2 1771-NT2//A1771-NT2//B
The 1771-NT2 is a high-resolution thermocouple input module by Allen-Bradley. The module has 8 mV/TC inputs and it occupies a single slot in the 1771 Input/Output chassis. The module is used to interface the PLC-3 or PLC-5 family of controllers which have block transfer capabilities since the 1771-NT2 uses block transfer to read or write data. The 1771-NT2 module has an input range (selectable) ranging between -5.5 and 56.0 millivolts. The selection depends on the type used (B, C, E, J, K, N, R, S, T). The 1771-NT2 module has an input resolution (max) ranging between 0.9 microvolts per bit at 16 bits unipolar which is selectable between E, J, K, T, N at 0.03 degrees Celsius and between types B, R, S at 0.1 degrees Celsius.
The 1771-NT2 has a normal display resolution of 0.1 millivolts per 1 degree Celsius. Additionally, the 1771-NT2 high resolution thermocouple input module comes with an input resistance greater than 10MΩ and it has a thermocouple linearization based on the IPTS-68 and NBS MN-125 standards. The module takes a maximum of 5 seconds to detect an open circuit, it has a maximum offset and gain drift rating of +/-0.50 microvolts per degree Celsius and of +/-35ppm per degree Celsius, respectively.
The 1771-NT2 module has an under/overrange threshold of -5.5 and +/-56 millivolts respectively. Also, the 1771-NT2 has a minimum rate alarm value at 0.04% FSR of 24uV/0.9 degrees Celsius per second with a maximum RAV of 30mV/1050 degrees Celsius per second at a 50% full-scale range. The module puts a 1-Amp current load on its backplane and it dissipates 5 watts at 5 Volts. It also has a common mode rejection of 150dB at 60 Hertz, and a 9 Hertz input bandwidth. The module has a module update time of 25 milliseconds for each module.

The 1771-NT2 module is a PLC 5 analog TC/MV module manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This isolated analog module is used to interface with Allen-Bradley PLC programmable controllers. It features the block transfer capability that helps to move input data from the module memory to a designated output processor data table in a single scan. It also helps move the configuration data from the table to the module memory. The 1771-NT2 module comes with 6-pole input filtering and is attached with a low-pass digital filter. The module comes with a maximum backplane current of 1 Amps at 5 Volts DC. It has a power dissipation of 5 Watts with normal operation. This high-resolution isolated analog module is CE certified and UL listed. The front of the module has LED indicators to show the Communication/Calibrate and Run/Fault status during operation. The Run/Fault indicator flashes green until the first valid block transfer write has been received. Two D pin connectors are also present for serial connection.
The Allen-Bradley PLC 5 1771-NT2 analog high-resolution module has an input resolution of 0.9 millivolts per bit with 16 bits that can be selected with the E, J, K, T, or N jumper types. It has rated underrange and overrange thresholds of +/- 5.5 millivolts. It features self-diagnostics and user-selectable high and low alarms. This module can easily detect inputs with open circuits and it has programmable ramped outputs. The 1771-NT2 analog high-resolution module can be installed on the I/O chassis. The power to the module is supplied from the chassis backplane.
The Allen-Bradley PLC 5 1771-NT2 is an analog high-resolution module. It can move input data from the module memory to the processor data table.
