Other Available Revisions for the 1771-NIVR 1771-NIVR//A1771-NIVR//B
The Allen-Bradley 1771-NIVR is a high-resolution input module with 8 inputs (4 current/voltage and 4 RTDS) which have a voltage rating of +/-5 Volts and it has a current rating of +/-20 milliamperes. Its Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) inputs have a resistance rating that ranges from 1 to 650 ohms. The 1771-NIVR module exerts a load (current) of 1.2 Amps on the backplane and it has a power dissipation rated at 6 watts. The module has a 140 Volts AC RMS overvoltage protection (inputs), a resistance (input) exceeding 10 mΩ and an offset drift rating of +/-25 milliohms per degree Celsius.
The 1771-NIVR has a 168uV per bit input resolution. The input range for the 1771-NIVR is determined by the type of RTD used. The RTDs available (at 100ohms) to be used are: platinum (has an input range between -200 and +870 degrees Celsius); platinum (has input range of between -200 and +630 degrees Celsius); copper, 10 ohms, (input range of between -200 and +260 degrees Celsius); while the nickel RTD is used at 120 ohms has an input range of between -80 and +320 degrees Celsius. The resolution of the 1771-NIVR module is also dependent on the type of RTD used. The 1771-NIVR module has a normal excitation current of 1 milliamps and an offset gain of +/-25 milliohms per degree Celsius. When installing or servicing the 1771-NIVR module, it is recommended that the users switch off the power to the input-output chassis to avoid injury to personnel and damage to the module and other components inside the I/O chassis.

The 1771-NIVR module is a PLC 5 I/O module that has been manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This module is an isolated analog input and output module that has been designed to be exclusively used with Remote Termination Panels (RTPs) from the same series. The users must convert the module before putting the device into operation, and it is meant to be paired with one of the compatible RTD modules from the same series. There are several key application considerations to take into account before attempting to install both components, including consideration of the type of conversion module, the type of conversion cable, and the type of input module that will be used. All of these components need to be compatible so that they can operate properly.
The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1771-NIVR ControlLogix I/O module operates with a voltage of 5 Volts and a current range from 4 to 20 milliamps. This module comes with 4 channels for RTD inputs and 4 regular inputs. All of these channels are isolated. The 1771-NIVR ControlLogix I/O module is an intelligent block transfer module that can be interfaced with different controllers with block transfer capabilities. The resolution used by this module is a 16-bit analog to digital converter and it requires a single slot in a chassis. It does not require an external power supply. This module can also perform self-diagnostics.
The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1771-NIVR PLC 5 I/O module comes with 8 inputs. Four of these inputs work with an RTP module and the rest of these work as regular outputs.
