The 1771-NBVC is an intelligent I/O analog combo module by Allen-Bradley/ Rockwell Automation. The 1771-NBVC high-resolution module belongs to the 1771-N series and it has 8 channels. Six of the channels support the voltage inputs that is rated at +/-5 Volts and current input that is rated at +/-20mA. The other 2 channels of the 1771-NBVC module support the current output that is rated at 0-25mA. The 1771-NBVC module is connected to the 1771 chassis system and from here it draws a maximum backplane current of 1.7 Amps.
The 1771-NBVC module has 140 Volts AC continuous input overvoltage protection and it is designed to take up to 5 seconds to detect an open input. While in operation, this 1771-NBVC module dissipates 8.5W and its minimum normal mode rejections is 50dB/60dB. The common mode rejection on the other hand is 150dB. This analog 1771-NBVC module takes up to 25 milliseconds as the update time and the bandwidth input channel range is 9 Hertz. However, the typical signal delay for this 1771-NBVC while on DC voltage is 50 milliseconds during the off-state and it ranges between 30-60 milliseconds on AC voltage also during the off-state. During operation, Allen-Bradley recommends that the 1771-NBVC module be used with the 1771-RTP4 devices as a termination panel instead of any other thermocouples. In addition, the 1771-NBVC device is recommended to operate at a temperature between 32 and 140degrees Fahrenheit at 5 to 95% relative humidity, non-condensing. From the factory, the 1771-NBVC module comes with a 1771-WH wiring arm that allows it to be connected on and off the chassis without interfering with the wiring system.
