Other Available Revisions for the 1771-IT 1771-IT//A
The Allen-Bradley 1771-IT is a digital input module and it has a current consumption rating of 74 milliamperes which is drawn from the backplane. The 1771-IT module operates at a voltage range of between 12 and 27 volts. The 1771-IT has 8 inputs and a maximum off-state current of 1300 amperes. The 1771-IT occupies a slot in the 1771 Input and Output chassis. Also, the 1771-IT has an input current (nominal) of 8 milliamperes at 12V DC and 24 milliamperes at 24V DC. The module has an on/off input signal delay of 0.6 +/-0.2 milliseconds.
In addition, the 1771-IT module has an input resistance of 1-2K ohms and of 2-3 kilo ohms for powering On and Off, respectively. The 1771-IT has a 1500V AC rms isolation (opto-electrical). The input module also has a maximum and minimum thermal dissipation rating of 20 and 1.3 BTU per hour, respectively. For power dissipation, the module has a rating of 5.9W and 0.4W maximum and minimum, respectively.
Additionally, the 1771-IT is keyed using pins 6-8, and 32-34 and it uses the 1771-WA wiring arm which supports a 14-gauge wire size with 3/64-inch insulation. The module uses voltage differences to determine a logical high or low setting. A voltage of 0-4 volts represents a logical 0 while a voltage of between 10-27 volts represents a logical 1. When installing the 1771-IT module in the Input and Output chassis, disconnect or switch off the power to the I/O chassis to prevent damage to the 1771-IT module, damage to other modules in the chassis, and injury to personnel.
