Other Available Revisions for the 1771-IQ 1771-IQ//A1771-IQ//B
The Allen-Bradley 1771-IQ is a selectable input module that has 8 inputs. The module can accommodate either sinking or sourcing inputs. The selection between the two is done using switches SW1 and SW3. The 1771-IQ has a typical input delay of 12 milliseconds with a minimum delay of 5 milliseconds and a maximum of 26 milliseconds. Also, the module can be set for a faster input delay of a maximum of 1 millisecond when the SW1 switch is set to off. The 1771-IQ uses logic switches to define a HIGH and LOW setting (ON and OFF).
When Switch SW1 is on, a consumer supply voltage greater than 40% indicates an ON setting while a voltage of less than 20% indicates an OFF setting and vice versa when the SW1 switch is OFF. The 1771-IQ draws a maximum current of 150 milliamperes from the backplane and it has an input current (nominal) of 5 and 25 milliamperes at 5 and 30V DC respectively. The module has a voltage range of between 5-30V DC. The 1771-IQ selectable input module has an input impedance of 1.2Kilo ohms, a maximum power dissipation of 6.8W, and a 0.8W minimum dissipation.
The thermal dissipation rating for the 1771-IQ is 23.2 BTU per hour and 2.7 BTU per hour maximum and minimum, respectively. The module is located in the 1771 I/O chassis. For wiring, the module uses the 1771-WC wiring arm which has a screw torque of 7-9 inch-pounds. The recommended wire size for wiring the module should have a maximum strand of 2mm and a maximum insulation rating of 1.2 mm. For keying, the 1771-IQ uses pins 6 - 4, and 24 - 26. When all inputs are connected and switched ON, the module draws a current of 100 milliamperes and 350 milliamperes at 5 and 30V DC, respectively. The 1771-IQ module has a 1500V AC RMS isolation voltage.
