The 1771-INGA50 discrete I/O backplane interface ASIC module is a product by Rockwell automation/Allen-Bradley. As a discrete I/O backplane interface ASIC module, the 1771-INGA50 module is designed to be able to support up to 16 inputs. The 1771-INGA50 module has an AC operating voltage of 16-30V AC and it has a DC operating voltage of 9-30V DC. However, the 1771-INGA50 interface module belongs to the 24V AC/DC voltage category with a backplane current of 250mA. The maximum AC off-state current for the module is 1.5mA and the maximum DC off-state current is 0.6 mA for the 1771-INGA50 interface module and it has a typical signal delay that ranges between 25ms and 45ms when on AC power and in the ON-state. This typical signal delay is 10ms when the 1771-INGA50 module is in the ON-state and using the DC power. In the OFF-state, the typical DC the signal delay time for the 1771-INGA50 interface module is 50ms and this signal delay time ranges from 30-60ms when on AC power.
With the Allen-Bradley 1771-WH wiring arm, the 1771-INGA50 discrete I/O backplane interface ASIC module is able to be wired or rewired in the 1771 I/O chassis without interfering with the whole chassis wiring system. In addition, the design of the 1771-INGA50 interface module allows it to be mounted on the rack with easily during operations. Note that the 1771-INGA50 module is meant to be used in an industrial environment with a Level 2 Pollution Degree rating. It can handle Category II levels of overvoltage.
