The 1771-ID16K is a digital input module manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It belongs to the B series. The 1771-ID16K has an input voltage range of 74 to 138 Volts AC at 47 to 63 Hertz and 105 to 138 Volts DC, with a nominal input voltage of: 120 Volts AC/DC. And it has an on-state voltage range between 74 Volts AC, 105 Volts DC as the minimum and an off-state voltage: 45 Volts AC, 66 Volts DC as the maximum voltage. There is also an on-state current of 6 milliamps At 74 Volts AC as the minimum, and the off-state current of 4 milliamps at 45 Volts AC, 47 to 63 Hertz, besides a 0.8 mA current at 63 Volts DC minimum. In addition to that, the 1771-ID16K has a power dissipation of 1 to 8.8 Watts and temperature rating of 32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. The 1771-ID16K has a cable length of 1000 feet. It has an input filter feature that controls voltage and this boosts the performance of the module and ameliorates its power quality. To install the 1771-ID16K, users should first remove the power from the I/O chassis backplane and wiring arm and then the slide the 1771-ID16K into the chassis while pressing firmly, the next step would be to switch the latch lock down and wire the 1771-ID16K by swinging the wiring arm on the front of it and then by making the connections in the direction of wiring. It is important to note that only one wire is allowed in one terminal. Using an auxiliary terminal is required when connecting to more than one wire.
