The 17701-ID01 is a single 220 Volt AC/DC input module, manufactured by Allan-Bradley; this module supports power-intensive operations with a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 100 million operations. The latest addition in the Allen-Bradley 1771 Digital AC/DC input module series, the 1771-ID01 is a 6 input module. As an independent interface component connecting ON/OFF devices to Allen-Bradley programmable controllers, the 1771-ID01 is compatible with both 1171 PLC-5 systems as well as industry standard I/O structures. Manufactured specifically to operate AC input devices that use isolated-circuits and multi-phase operations, the 1771-ID01 can perform with most common AC input devices ranging from selector switches, float switches, limit switches, pilot lights and more. This module’s extensive system protection features include filter circuits as well as electrical optical isolation. To make troubleshooting easier, the 1771-ID01 features module indicators that display the status of both inputs and outputs. For directly driving terminals, a 220 to 240 Volts AC output can be used for the 1771-ID01. When directly driving terminals on the 1771-Id01 it is generally advised that a 2.5 K Ohms, a 10W resistor or an electrocube snubber is connected between the common and the output terminal. To ensure proper phasing and to avoid module damage, one single AC source should be specified for powering both input and output.
When shipped, a field wiring arm is provided with the 1771-ID01 for attachment purpose that comes with a category number. For keying purposes, plastics keying bands are shipped with the 1771-ID01’s I/O chassis, allowing the user to key and designate an I/O slot for the 1771-ID01 particularly. The 1771-ID01 operates at voltage ranges between the parameters of 184 to 276 Volts AC and 18 to 276 Volts DC with 4 mA at 45 Volts for AC and 0.8 mA at 63 Volts for DC being the maximum off-state currents. Power is supplied to the 1771-ID01 module through the I/O chassis backplane. The 1771-ID01 is both CSA certified and UL listed.
