The Allen Bradley 1771-ID is the name given to a 120 Volts AC/DC isolated input module that is used with PLC-5 1771 systems. It has a total of six (6) input points. It operates at 92 to 138 Volt AC and 92 to 138 Volt DC. It has a backplane current load of 74 mA. It is compatible with the 1771-WD wiring arm. The 1771-ID module is best suited for multi-phase applications that carry isolated circuits. It is compatible with limit switches, selector switches, pushbuttons and float switches. Its input filtering feature, boosts the quality of power supplied since it keeps the effects of voltage transients caused by contact bounce and/or electrical noise. As a result of this filtering feature, the module is more productive, with better performance and little to no downtime for electrically related reasons.
The 1771-ID has its power requirements met by the 1771 input/output chassis. Ensure that the input/output chassis has all the required modules so that the power supply and the backplane are not overloaded. The maximum off-state current for the 1771-ID module is 1.7 mA. Resultant from the filtering, signal delay is on average 24(±10) milliseconds in AC ON and OFF states; while it is 10(±4) milliseconds in DC ON state and 20(±9) milliseconds when the DC inputs OFF. To see the agency certification for this module, please check the product and/or packaging. Its isolation is compliant with the UL standard 508 as well as the CSA standard C22.2 No. 142. This module is CSA Class 1, Division 2 certified, CE marked for applicable devices, and UL listed.
