Other Available Revisions for the 1771-IBDK 1771-IBDK//A
The Allen-Bradley 1771-IBDK input module is a 10-30V DC voltage range input module. This module was designed for use in a Pollution Degree 2 Industrial Environment and it is ideal for altitudes of 2000 meters and below.
The 1771-IBDK input module is a 16-input module which means each module can have 16 input channels. When preparing to install the module, make sure to have an I/O label set and a hardware kit containing washers, nuts, keying bands, and documentation. There should be sufficient mounting space provisions for optimal performance from the module because it is an open device. Insufficient mounting space may result in the warping of the chassis. This may be due to extra tightening of the nuts and this can be avoided by adding extra washers as shims. Warping will cause damage to the chassis back-plane and the module will connect poorly.
The 1771-IBDK module comes equipped with a surge protection provision through internal clamping diodes which protect the output transistors from high-voltage transients. If necessary, users may provide surplus surge suppression for the module.
Power for the 1771-IBDK module comes from the backplane chassis output supply and calculations should be made when combining it with other modules to ensure that the power requirements are met sufficiently. This will prevent overload. Proper supply configurations of the jumpers are necessary and should be in line with the power supply being used. Users should not power the same single I/O chassis with both an external power supply and a power supply module.
