The Allen Bradley 1771-HRA is Resolver Excitation Module mandated with providing cosine and sine signals in the IMC 120 system. The signals provide controller modules with position feedback which is done by exciting the stator of the IMC 120 resolver feedback. The 1771-HRA has a maximum signal delay time of 2s between power up and output. The Resolver Excitation Module is powered through the 1771-PS7 power supply which has voltage categories of 24 Volts DC, 15 Volts DC and 5 Volts DC. The 1771-CAS cable is used to connect the module to the power supply via the 12-pin Latch connector which also has a lock mechanism.
For monitoring and easy troubleshooting, the 1771-HRA has LED indicators which indicate power on and power off status of the Resolver Excitation Module. The 1771-HRA places a current load of 0.065A on the backplane and has a maximum input frequency of 2500 Hertz. The module is certified to be used in class I division 2 hazardous environments. To connect to the termination port, the 1771-HRA use a 12-foot (1771) cable. The module has a minimum of 6.72 Volts (RMS) sinusoidal output amplitude and a 7.42 Volts (RMS) maximum sinusoid output amplitude.
Additionally, the 1771-HRA resolver Excitation Module has a 0.01 Volts DC offset voltage (maximum) plus a TDH signal distortion of 0.1 percent. The 1771-HRA has a cosine-sine relationship of 900 for 4.5 minutes when the offset for the sine phase is at 0.450 minutes and the sine drifts for +/- 5.4 minutes. The 1771-HRA has 0.81A and 0.35A output current, minimum and maximum respectively. The inductive load (max) is 80 Ohms at 800.
