Other Available Revisions for the 1771-DLC 1771-DLC//A
The Allen Bradley 1771-DLC is a Gray Encoder Input Module, which converts gray codes into binary numbers. The 1771-DLC operates at a voltage of between 12 and 24 Volts DC, with a maximum current output of 70A. The Belden 9556 multi-conductor shielded cable is used to connect this module’s wiring arm (catalog number 1771-WB) to the encoder. The 1771-DLC is keyed using pins 24 and 26 for upper keying, whereas pins 4 and 6 are used for lower keying. When handling the 1771-DLC module, make sure to provide adequate grounding, which can be provided by way of a grounding cable. Before handling the 1771-DLC, all electrostatic charges should be discharged, since these charges are very harmful to the module. Electrostatic damage can be avoided by first discharging yourself, which can be done by touching a grounded object and by avoiding contact with the backplane connector pins. The operating temperature for the 1771-DLC is between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius and requires a relative humidity of between 5 and 95% to avoid condensation. The 1771-DLC module should be stored at a temperature of between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius.
This module uses a voltage between 10 and 27 Volts DC, and uses 0 to 2 Volts DC to cater for the logic states 1 and 0 accordingly. This module has a digital resolution of 1 in part 256. It weighs approximately 1,300 grams and measures approximately 3 x 15 x 25 centimeters. The 1771-DLC module draws a current of 120 mA from the power supply, in order to cater for overloading. Per gray code input, the encoder drive sinks the 15 mA at 24 Volts and at 12V DC it sinks the 6 mA.
