Other Available Revisions for the 1771-DBMEM1 1771-DBMEM1//A
The 1771-DBMEM1 is a memory module from Allen Bradley that is used with a 1771-DB BASIC module. The 1771-DBMEM1 is an EEPROM memory module with 8 Kb. To increase the user memory on a 1746-BAS-T module, the JW3 is used to configure the memory modules to accept the 1771-DBMEM1. Before installing the 1771-DBMEM1 into the 1771-DB BASIC module, disassemble the module after removing it from the Input Output chassis. Memory modules are very sensitive to electrostatic charges; before attending to the 1771-DBMEM1 module, wear a wrist-strap grounding material/device to discharge yourself. Alternatively, touching a grounded object will give the same effect. Electrostatic charges can damage the semiconductors and integrated circuits in the module. Do not touch the backplane connector pins when uninstalling the 1771-DB BASIC module. When inside the 1771-DB module, insert the 1771-DBMEM1 memory module in the SKT1 slot, and reassemble the 1771-DB BASIC module.
Use the JW2 jumper to select the PROM circuitry, and use the JW3 jumper to set the CPU speed. Carefully fix the 1771-DB module back to the Input Output chassis. The 1771-DBMEM1 can be programmed using the personal computer with a 1746-PBASE BASIC development program, or an ASCII terminal. The 1771-DBMEM1 operates optimally at temperatures of between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius and should be stored at temperatures of between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius. The 1771-DBMEM1 also operates best at a humidity of between 5 and 95% without condensation. When not in use, store the 1771-DBMEM1 memory module in a static-shielded bag.
