The Allen Bradley 1771-CX1 is a 1-meter interconnect cable for a local I/O adapter module. Specifically, this cable is used to connect I/O adapters within the system. Typically, this system can support up to 30 meters of cable, the one meter long 1771-CX1 contributes to this number. Any combination of interconnect cables can be used within the system, as long as they do not surpass the previously listed total cable length. The 1771-CX1 has one end that is equipped with a single-end connector, and the opposite side is equipped with a dual-end connector. While the single-end connector connects to the programmable controller, the dual-end connector is compatible with a mating connector located on the front of the adapter module. You should never install or remove this cable when power is applied to the system.
