Other Available Revisions for the 1771-CP2 1771-CP2//A
The Allen Bradley 1771-CP2 cable connects the remote 1771-P7 power supply module to a rack-mounted 1771 Input-Output chassis. The 1771-CP2 is 5 feet (1.5a2 meters) long. When connecting the cable to the 1771-P7 power supply and the Input-Output chassis, ensure that the power supply is not turned on. When fixing the power cable, it should be given sufficient allowance to bend; this allowance will prevent excessive stress from being applied to the connectors that hold the cable in its place on the power supply and the Input-Output chassis. A space of 6 inches should be left between the I/O chassis and the power supply during the mounting process. To install the 1771-CP2 cable, one end should be connected to the D-shell connector situated at the power supply’s bottom; the cable is then tightened with the small screws found on its either side. The other end of the cable should be connected to the D-shell connector on the Input-Output chassis. Tightening the small screws on the 1771-CP2 cable will hold it in place.
The small screws on the 1771-CP2 should be tightened with care, in order to prevent damaging the D-shell connector. The 1771-CP2 does not provide grounding; therefore, use the 14 AWG type wire to interface the ground (GND) terminal and the ground bus when grounding the cable. To ensure maximum performance of the 1771-CP2 and other Input-Output modules, the Input-Output chassis should compensate for an enhanced ventilation. This can be achieved by following the standard spacing procedures when mounting the modules and the 1771-CP2 cable.
