Other Available Revisions for the 1771-CP1 1771-CP1//A
The Allen Bradley 1771-CP1 is a chassis cable that interfaces the 1771-A3B Input-Output chassis with the 1771-P7 power supply. The 1771-CP1 has a length of 1.04 feet, limiting it to exclusively connect the power supply and the I/O chassis within this range. The 1771-CP1 connects to the D-shell connector on the left side of the 1771 I/O chassis; to firmly connect the 1771-CP1 cable, its two connector screws (one on either side) should be fastened after attaching the cable to the appropriate D-shell connector. The 1771-CP1 cable is then attached to the D-shell connector at the bottom of the 1771-P7 power supply. This cable also has small tightening screws on its other end, which should also be tightened, in order to firmly keep the 1771-CP1 in place. To reduce the amount of stress placed on the 1771-CP1 connectors, the cable should not be stiffly fixed between the 1771-A3B and the 1771-P7; ideally, there should enough slack in the length of the 1771-CP1 cable to allocate for this cable’s bending requirements. The 1771-CP1 is MARINE-BVS, MARINE-GL, MARINE-KRS, ROSTECHNADZOR, and KC certified. To prevent personal injury and property damage when connecting the 1771-CP1 to a power supply or to the I/O chassis backplane, ensure that the 1771-P7 power supply is completely turned off. The 1771-P7 power supply module should be mounted on the 1771-A3B I/O chassis prior to the 1771-CP1 cable being connected to interface them. The I/O chassis should have adequate ventilation in order to prevent the accumulation of heat, which may damage the modules and affect the optimal functioning of the 1771-CP1 cable. This prevents the power modules from operating as required.
