The primary application of this terminal is to implement a real-time control and monitoring interface between operators and the machinery or processes. The primary option of the 2711P-T7C4A8 is a 6.5-inch color active matrix TFT display. It has an effective screen area of 304 mm x 228 mm (12.0 in. x 9.0 in.) (HxWxD) with a resolution rating of 1024 pixels x 768 pixels and supports 18-bit color graphics. It features an adjustable backlight with a minimum lifespan rating of 50,000 hours at 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit). For an operator, eight-wire analog resistive touchscreen interfaces with an actuation longevity rating of one million presses when used at 10…110 g are provided. The in-built communication interfaces include one (1) Ethernet, one (1) RS-232, and two (2) USB connectors. These ports can function in parallel, enabling several partner devices to occupy each port. In particular, the Ethernet port is designed for multi-node communication and provides a 10/100 Mbps transfer rate, while the RS232 port permits serial connections compatible with the RS232 and DH485 communication protocols.
