The Allen-Bradley 2711P-RDB15C display module is a replacement display module from the PanelView Plus 1500 series of operator terminals. It was engineered for industrial automation applications and specifically designed as a replacement display module for existing PanelView Plus 1500 series terminals that support both keypad and touchscreen control. This display module comes with both a touchscreen and a keypad. The 2711P-RDB15C display module’s screen is 15 inches wide with a display area of 304 x 228 mm (12.0 x 9.0 in.) and a resolution rating of 1024 x 768 pixels. The screen also has a typical luminance rating of 300 cd/m2 Nits. The 2711P-RDB15C display module is designed to be used with AC or DC-operated PanelView Plus 1500 terminals. This module should only be installed when the operator terminal has been disconnected from its power supply. The touchscreen on the 2711P-RDB15C module uses an analog resistive technology that is responsive to actuation forces ranging from 10 to 110 g and has an operational lifespan of 1 million presses. Users can operate the touchscreen with bare fingers or gloved fingers, or with styluses made of plastic. The stylus must have a tip radius of at least 1.3 mm to avoid scratching and damaging the touchscreen. Users can operate the keypad on the 2711P-RDB15C module with bare fingers or gloved fingers. The surface of the 2711P-RDB15C display module can be cleaned with a soft cloth moistened in water. However, users should not attempt to clean the module when the operator terminal is in operation because cleaning the module while it is powered on may cause unintended actions and accidental touch commands.
