Allen-Bradley developed the 2711P-RDT12C is a replacement unit for the PanelView Plus and PanelView Plus 6 sequencing touch operated terminals' pre-installed display module. This 2711P-RDT12C features a 12.1-inch LCD panel showing colored static displays as well as animations. This display module has an 800 x 600 pixels resolution and an effective display area of 246 mm × 184 mm (9.69 x 7.25 inch). This component not only includes a colored graphic display, but it also has an inbuilt 8-wire analog resistive touch interface with an actuation lifespan of up to 1 million presses at a maximum of 110 g of actuation force. The 2711P-RDT12C display module's primary role is to provide the system with visualization and input capability. Through this module, the operator watches and submits control orders and modifications by engaging directly with the touch sensitive screen. The 2711P-RDT12C module is maintained by wiping away any contamination build-up on the surface to extend its operational lifespan. It is suggested to use a delicate cloth dampened with water and a mild soap combination or isopropyl alcohol; then wipe away the impurities gently. When operating and interacting with the display module, use a gloved finger or actuate the terminal with a clean finger. When installing this display module, it is best to turn off the power supply; the unwanted actuation generated by unit handling will not result in unexpected operation or machine behavior in this manner. This display module should not be used on uneven or ungrounded surfaces. The 2711P-RDT12C is used in manufacturing, process control, and automating building applications, and it is reliable and long-lasting and works in harsh industrial settings.
