The Allen-Bradley 2711-T9A2 terminal is an adaptable human-machine interface or HMI that was designed for use in a variety of industrial automation applications. It is a Panelview 900 series standard HMI terminal with a 9-inch grayscale display. The display’s resolution is 640 x 400 pixels. The 2711-T9A2 terminal was designed to be installed on a machine that has no interface and used as the interface for that machine. The host machine can be controlled through the 2711-T9A2 terminal. The host machine and its applications can also be monitored through the 2711-T9A2 terminal. This terminal has a DH-485 port for communication, but it does not have an RS-232 printer port. Applications can be uploaded and downloaded through the DH-485 port. The 2711-T9A2 HMI terminal uses AC input voltage, and its input voltage rating is 85 to 264V AC with 50/60 Hertz frequency. The 2711-T9A2 HMI terminal’s memory includes 1008 KB of nonvolatile memory and 310 KB of RAM. The approximate weight of the terminal is 6.5 pounds. The 2711-T9A2 terminal’s panel cutout dimensions are 8.8 inches in height and 12 inches in width. The maximum power consumption rating of the 2711-T9A2 terminal is 110 VA. The 2711-T9A2 HMI terminal can be installed in an enclosure with a maximum ingress protection rating of IP65, but it should only be used in indoor environments. Its status indicators are a “COMM” indicator for indicating communication and a “FAULT” indicator for indicating faults. The “COMM” indicator is green and the “FAULT” indicator is red. The 2711-T9A2 HMI terminal’s display is an AC gas plasma display and its touchscreen has 384 touch cells.
