The Allen-Bradley 2711-K9A1 terminal is a flexible HMI (Human-Machine Interface) that is a part of the PanelView 900 series of Allen-Bradley operator terminals. This HMI enables real-time application process monitoring and control in different industries. Its 9-inch monochrome screen is an AC gas plasma display screen with a resolution of 640 x 400 pixels. The 2711-K9A1 operator terminal has a keypad and function keys that enable the users to enter commands, navigate displays, select objects, and control variables within a variety of applications. The 2711-K9A1 terminal supports a daisy-chain topology for remote I/O connections that in turn supports seamless data transfers throughout the network. This terminal also has an internal RS-232 printer port for connecting to printers and other external peripheral devices, and this allows the terminal to record alarm reports and events. The 2711-K9A1 terminal’s keypad includes 16 function keys (F1 to F16), and a full set of numeric keys. The 2711-K9A1 terminal is AC-powered and operates at a supply voltage range of 85 to 264 Volts AC with 47 to 63 Hertz of frequency and a maximum power consumption rating of 110 VA. It comes with 240 KB of application flash memory for storing a variety of application screens. The 2711-K9A1 terminal can support enclosures with protection ratings of NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (for indoor use only), IP54, or IP65, and these enclosures allow the terminal to operate safely in a variety of conditions. This HMI terminal also features status indicators to provide users with updates on its operating status. The 2711-K9A1 terminal has a green “COMM” indicator and a red “FAULT” indicator.
