The Allen-Bradley 2711-K5A8 terminal is a PanelView Standard 550 series operator terminal designed for industrial applications. It features built-in ports, including a DH+ port and an RS-232 printer port. The DH+ port supports multi-node topology using Belden 9463 cables, while the RS-232 port can be used to connect the 2711-K5A8 terminal to external devices such as printers. This operator terminal comes with a keypad. Its keypad includes 10 function keys in addition to several numeric keys and navigation keys, and all of the keys have a 1 million-press actuation rating. The 2711-K5A8 terminal has a 5.5-inch display screen. It comes with 240 KB of non-volatile memory and 170 KB of RAM. The 2711-K5A8 terminal can be used for application process monitoring and process control. The terminal’s screen is a monochrome display screen that has a resolution of 256 x 128 pixels, and this screen provides the users with a clear view of application data and features a long-lasting internal backlight. The backlight will operate for up to approximately 100,000 hours, and it is an LED backlight. To protect the 2711-K5A8 terminal from dust, water, and other substances that could damage it, it should be installed in an enclosure. This terminal supports enclosures with ratings of NEMA Type 12/13, 4X (for indoor use only), IP54, or IP65. Additionally, proper panel spacing of 2 inches on all sides of the 2711-K5A8 terminal is recommended for heat ventilation and airflow. The 2711-K5A8 operator terminal operates with a power supply input voltage range of 85 to 264V AC and a frequency range of 47 to 63 Hz.
