The Allen-Bradley 2711-K5A16L1 operator terminal is Panelview 550 series standard operator interface terminal. It can be used as a Human-Machine Interface (HMI) in industrial automation systems. When installed in a compatible enclosure, the 2711-K5A16L1 operator terminal has a NEMA Type 12, 13, 4X, IP54, or IP65 protection rating and it can be used safely in a variety of indoor industrial environments. The 2711-K5A16L1 terminal’s screen has a resolution of 256 × 128 pixels and is a 5.5-inch monochrome transflective LCD screen with an LED backlight. The 2711-K5A16L1 terminal has a “blue mode” type of display. This terminal has a keypad with 10 function keys (F1 to F10) as well as numeric and navigation keys which enable the users to submit instructions, enter data, and change application parameters quickly. The 2711-K5A16L1 terminal comes with 170 KB of RAM and 240 KB of nonvolatile memory. If the terminal requires additional memory capacity, it can support an ATA memory card. It also has a real-time clock with a replaceable battery. This real-time clock is used to timestamp critical application data. The 2711-K5A16L1 interface terminal is a DC-powered interface terminal with a nominal voltage rating of 24V DC and an input voltage range from 18 to 32V DC. The actuation rating of the 2711-K5A16L1 interface terminal’s keypad is 1 million presses. The 2711-K5A16L1 terminal consumes 18 Watts of maximum power during operation. The backlight for the terminal’s LCD screen has a backlight life of about 100,000 hours. The 2711-K5A16L1 interface terminal can operate with up to 30 g of shock and at temperatures between 32 and 131 degrees Fahrenheit.
