The Panelview 550 terminal series was manufactured by Allen-Bradley, and it is a series of high-performance operator interface terminals. These terminals all feature a 5.5-inch diagonal LCD monochrome screen with a pixel resolution of 256 x 128 pixels for delivering a clear and detailed visual interface. Users can choose Panelview 550 terminals with touchscreen input, keypad input, or key/touch input options. The keypad terminals are equipped with 10 function keys and full numeric keypads. The Panelview 550 terminals have slim profiles and compact dimensions that make them suitable for applications in systems with limited installation space available. AC-powered and DC-powered Panelview 550 terminals are available. The Panelview 550 series terminals can operate at 85 to 264 Volts AC at 47 to 63 Hertz, 18 to 32 Volts DC (24 Volts DC nominal), or 18 to 30 Volts DC (24 Volts DC nominal). The maximum power consumption rating of the Panelview 550 AC-powered terminals is 45 VA. It is crucial to install Panelview 550 terminals in safe environments. Users can use enclosures or panels to protect the internal circuitry of the terminals from external pollutants. These terminals are rated for indoor use only, and it is imperative to mount them in enclosures with the correct protection ratings for a specific environment.
