Allen Bradley engineered the MPL-B560F-MJ22AA motor, a brushless AC synchronous servo motor from the MPL low-inertia servo motor series. It is designed to meet the demanding requirements of high-performance closed-loop motion control systems. The MPL-B560F-MJ22AA servo motor has a rare-earth magnetic rotor that provides faster acceleration than standard motors and a high-performance sensor that ensures precise shaft positioning. This servo motor operates with a 3-phase AC voltage rating of 400 volts, provides a maximum rotor speed of 3000 rpm, and an output power rating of 5.5 kilowatts. The winding torque rating of this servo motor is 237 pounds per inch, and its maximal torque rating is 600 pounds per inch. MPL motors are constructed for applications requiring high repetition and precision, including packaging, electronics assembly, robotics, automotive, and material handling. The MPL-B560F-MJ22AA servo motor includes an onboard memory that stores the motor profile and a communication link that automatically uploads the motor profile to a system (a closed-looped system) upon initialization. This motor is equipped with a high-resolution, multi-turn encoder that provides absolute positional and directional feedback, as well as a circular bayonet-style connector for power and feedback that faces the shaft. The MPL-B560F-MJ22AA servo motor has an aluminum motor enclosure with an industrial rating of IP 50, and it is installed on a machine by aligning and mounting it correctly. It has a 165 mm factory-specified frame dimension and a 6-inch stack length. The operational ambient temperature range for the MPL-B560F-MJ22AA servo motor is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius, and it must be stored between -30 and 70 degrees Celsius.
