The MPL-B430P-MJ22AA by Allen-Bradley is a Kinetix MP low inertia series servo motor, a pivotal component for precise position and motion control across various industrial applications. Unlike Direct on-line (DOL) or Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) controlled motors, the MPL-B430P-MJ22AA boasts an encoder that continuously monitors and provides feedback on its position and rotation degree, enhancing its motion control capabilities. Operating at a 400V voltage class, with a 115 mm frame size and a 76.2 mm magnet stack, it reaches a maximum speed of 5000 RPM. It incorporates an internal 1024 sin/cos resolution multi-turn, absolute encoder compatible with the Hiperface protocol (Stegmann protocol). To unleash its full potential, this servo motor must be coupled with compatible Kinetix servo drives, including Kinetix 5500, Kinetix 5700, Kinetix 6200/6500, Kinetix 6000, Kinetix 300/350, Kinetix 2000, and Kinetix 7000. Additional kits may be required for certain drive models. With FF Type mounting holes and a keyed shaft, this servo motor offers flexibility in mounting options. While it doesn't come equipped with a brake, a 24VDC holding brake can be added separately to achieve dynamic braking and meet the necessary IP66 protection rating. Weighing approximately 5.5 kilograms, it delivers 2.2 kilowatts of rated output power with a continuous stall torque of 6.55 N-m and a peak stall torque of 19.8 N-m. Its radial load force ratings vary with RPM, supporting up to 106 kilograms at 500 RPM and 49 kilograms at 5000 RPM. This versatile and robust servo motor caters to a range of applications such as automotive, converting, electronic assembly, and packaging, offering high-performance solutions for industrial systems demanding precision and reliability.
