The MPL-B330P-MJ72AA is an Allen Bradley’s MP low inertia series servo motor; it produces 1.8 kW of power, has a constant stall torque rating of 4.18 N-m, and a rated rotational speed of 5000 revolutions per minute (rpm). This servo motor operates at 400V and has a frame size of 100 mm and a magnet stack length of 76.2 mm or 3 inches. This servo motor employs the circular SpeedTec DIN connector in right angle configuration and rotatable up to 180 degrees for power and feedback connections. This connection approach enables for a quick and secure coupling of signals to the motor while also increasing vibration susceptibility. This servo motor also has a multi-turn absolute encoder with 1024 sin/cos resolution that uses the Hiperface protocol. The position of the motor is monitored using this encoder, which provides accurate position feedback. Before beginning operations, this motor must be grounded. This allows the motor to send and receive clearer signals while remaining unaffected by electrical noise. Aside from grounding the motor, it is advised that filters be used on all of its connections and that the power and signal lines be kept separate. It includes FF-type mounting holes for installation and a shaft with a key design. However, no shaft seal is included with this servo moto. This servo motor's environmental certification from IP55 to IP65 protects it from harsh conditions. This servo motor has a number of advanced characteristics and is suitable for a wide range of applications, including packaging, robotics, and machine tool industries.
