Allen-Bradley designed the MPL-B320P-SJ22AA is a low-inertia, high-output AC brushless servo motor from the MPL family. The premium permanent magnet rotary servo motor has a power rating of 460 volts AC and round bayonet facing shaft connectors. This servo motor has a high torque-to-size ratio and novel design features that result in a smaller motor size. The MPL-B320P-SJ22AA is also equipped with smart motor technology. It includes an RS-485 communication link set to automatically report the motor identification upon startup. The onboard technology of the servo motor preserves the motor's individuality. This smart motor technology is intended to shorten motor commissioning time. The servo motor MPL-B320P-SJ22AA has a rated motor speed of 5000 revolutions per minute. It has a frame size of 100 millimeters and is a single-turn high-resolution encoder servomotor. The MPL-B320P-SJ22AA servo motor should be used with manufactured feedback and power cables of standard cable length. It is suggested to make use of appropriate strategies for combating electromagnetic interference (EMI), which can degrade motor performance due to the induction of stray signals. The MPL-B320P-SJ22AA servo motor has an IP 66 rating for protection against dust and heavy water sprays and a shaft key with no shaft seal. The ambient operating temperature range of the MPL-B320P-SJ22AA servo motor is 32 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit, whereas the ambient storage temperature range is -22 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit.
