The Kinetix MPL Servo Motors series is a series of low-inertia brushless servo motors manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. These high-performance brushless servo motors are designed to operate with high torque levels and to be compact. The MPL Servo Motors are robust, space-saving solutions for a wide variety of industrial applications in motion systems. These motors operate with precise feedback from encoders, and this feedback supports accurate control. MPL Servo Motors are available with single-turn and multi-run encoders and with 2000-line encoders. These motors come with different frame sizes and different magnet stack lengths. The MPL Servo Motors can support different levels of continuous stall torque and peak stall torque, in addition to different continuous stall current and peak stall current ratings. The continuous stall torque ratings range from 0.26 to 163 Nm, and the peak torque ratings range from 0.77 to 278 Nm. Some MPL Servo Motors operate at 230 Volts, and others operate at 460 Volts. Some MPL Servo Motors include shaft keys, but none come with built-in shaft seals. However, optional shaft seals can be installed by users, and shaft seals do not need to be installed if a motor is not being used in applications that involve fluids or significant amounts of fine dust. The MPL Servo Motors are compatible with several Allen-Bradley Kinetix servo drives. These motors can accelerate quickly because they contain rare-earth magnets that support quick acceleration with low levels of friction or inertia. The MPL Servo Motors can operate at temperatures between 32 and 104 degrees Fahrenheit or 0 and 40 degrees Celsius.
