The Allen-Bradley 2080-LC50-48AWB is a versatile programmable logic controller (PLC) designed for industrial automation. This Micro 850 PLC has built-in features that make it capable of operating as a standalone controller. It may be powered by the included 24V DC power supply or the 2080-PS120-240V AC power supply (both sold separately). Without any plug-in or expansion I/O, the PLC uses 11W of power, but at full capacity, it may need up to 33W. The controller has an incorporated USB 2.0 (non-isolated) port for programming with a regular USB printer cable, as well as an Ethernet Class 3 Modbus TCP port and an integrated RS232/RS485 non-isolated combination serial communication connection for data transmission. With 48 I/O ports (28 inputs and 20 relay outputs), the 2080-LC50-48AWB may be used for a broad variety of tasks. Maximum input voltage of 132V AC at 60 Hz and the inrush current of 250 mA at 120V AC are supported by these inputs. There is a 2A continuous current rating at 240V AC/24V DC on the relay outputs. There is room for up to 132 digital I/O points, and the PLC may be expanded with up to 5 plug-in modules and 4 Micro800 extension I/O. The device's scan/cycle time is less than 0.25 milliseconds, and its basic instruction speed is 0.3 microseconds. This PLC is compatible with a wide variety of programming languages, letting you create your own custom function blocks, motion instructions, and PID loop control, in addition to the standard Ladder Diagram, Function Block, and Structured Text. Floating-point calculations of both 32 and 64 bits are supported. Common Industrial Protocol (CIP), ASCII, and RS232/RS485 are only a few of the communication protocols that may be used. The 2080-LC50-48AWB, housed in an IP20-certified enclosure measuring 90 x 238 x 80 mm and weighing 0.725 kg, is a dependable option for industrial control and automation applications, functioning accurately between -20°C and 65°C at 5-95% relative humidity.
