The Micro 850 controller series is a product series from Allen-Bradley, and it is a series of programmable controllers with embedded I/O points. Some Micro 850 controls have 24 built-in I/O, and some have 48 built-in I/O. The 24-point Micro 850 programmable controllers have 14 embedded inputs and 10 embedded outputs. The 14 inputs can be 120V AC-rated inputs or 24V AC/DC-rated inputs, and the 10 outputs can be relay outputs, 24V DC sink outputs, or 24V DC source outputs. The 48-point Micro 850 controllers have 28 embedded inputs and 20 embedded outputs. The 28 inputs can be 120V AC-rated inputs or 24V AC/DC-rated inputs, and the 20 outputs can be relay outputs, 24V DC sink outputs, or 24V DC source outputs. The Micro 850 programmable controllers have RJ-45 Ethernet connectors that each include a yellow indicator LED and a green indicator LED. The yellow LED indicates if there is an Ethernet link or not, and the green LED indicates if there is activity or not. In most systems, the Micro 850 controllers should be installed in enclosures. These enclosures will protect the Micro 850 controllers from electromagnetic interference and from pollutants such as dust and moisture. The Micro 850 controllers should also be installed as far as possible from load lines, power lines, and motor drives. These controllers can support optional power supplies and expansion I/O. The Micro 850 programmable controllers come with latches that make them easy to mount on DIN rails. The Micro 850 programmable controllers are designed to operate properly at ambient temperatures between -20 degrees Celsius and 65 degrees Celsius.
