The Allen-Bradley Kinetix 6200 product series is an advanced drive series. It is a series of servo drive system components that can control machinery and enhance the machinery’s performance. The Kinetix 6200 series drives operate with minimal downtime and efficient energy consumption. Components in this series include axis modules, integrated axis modules, shunt modules, control modules, power modules, power rails, and cables. The Safe Speed functionality that is supported by several drives in the Kinetix 6200 series ensures safer access to guarded areas while allowing machines to operate under limited conditions. Additional embedded safety features in the Kinetix 6200 series servo drives protect users and eliminate the need for additional panel space and wiring between an external safety monitor and the drive. The series also offers enhanced diagnostic capabilities that provide detailed error messages when faults occur and increased quantities of diagnostics data to support faster error diagnosis and correction. The Kinetix 6200 drives and drive components have a modular design that provides flexibility and makes them easy to install and set up. Some components in the Kinetix 6200 series support a safe torque-off function, and some support a safe speed functionality. The safe speed feature allows users to monitor the speed of their application and initiate a safe stop when necessary. The safe torque-off feature safely disables drive output without removing power from the entire machine or system. Additionally, some Kinetix 6200 series drives support SERCOS communication, and some support EtherNet communication.
