The 2198-D057-ERS3 from Allen Bradley's Kinetix 5700 series dual axis inverter is utilized in various motion control applications. The 2198-D057-ERS3 drive interfaces with Kinetix servo motors to control motion and position. The inbuilt two (2) RJ45 Ethernet interface communication ports provide integrated motion control over Ethernet I/P. It can control additional control directions thanks to its dual-axis capability, and its dual ethernet capability allows this servo drive to interface with automation devices linked in either linear or device level ring (DLR) architecture. This servo drive is intended to communicate with the Logix controller platform in order to directly integrate servo parameters for monitoring and control, as well as to link to human machine interface (HMI) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems. It features a 400 hertz (Hz) velocity bandwidth, a 4 kilohertz pulse width modulation frequency, and an output current of 23 amps (A) with a peak of 57 amps. The output power of the 2198-D057-ERS3 is 15.6 kilowatts at 324-528V ranges AC power (three-phase), and the DC input current is 24.5 amps at 458-747V DC, with an internal capacitance of 705 microfarads. The drive carries a control current of 2.3 amps DC for a non-brake motor at 24 volts DC and an overall current surge of 4 amps for motors with brakes. It is meant to save wiring and installation expenses by supporting zero-stacking installation. It features an inbuilt safety feature called safe torque-off (STO). It includes an IP20 class protection. This device weights around 6.76 kg; its height is 358 millimeters (mm), width 55 mm, depth 250 mm.
