The 2198-D020-ERS3 is a dual-axis module associated with the Kinetix 5700 servo drive system. It is easy to install, operate, and maintenance. This axis module includes a dual Ethernet communication interface to implement motion control over Ethernet I/P and connect to linear and device level ring (DLR) topologies. This dual axis servo drive has an incorporated safety feature and is equipped with load observer real-time tuning technology for advanced tuning. The 2198-D020-ERS3 has a simple, robust, and compact design for machines with a high number of axes and high-power requirements. With its high-performance motor control and short integration time, it is frequently uses in numerous industries, including the beverage, diaper, bag, tire, and tray-loading industries, among others. It includes a safe torque-off (STO) operation and SIL CL3 and PLe safety ratings that are hardwired and integrated into the drive. In addition, Hiperface and DSL encoder feedback are supported. It utilizes a single wire and tuning-free commissioning, simplifying installation and conserving space. The primary input voltage of the 2198-D020-ERS3 represents 458-747 volts DC power, while the control input voltage is 24 volts DC, and the input current is 5.5 amps. This dual-axis servo drive module has an output range of 3-phases 0 to 460 volts AC (rms), and 0-590 hertz rated frequency. The utmost short circuit value of the device is 200,000 amps. The continuous and peak output currents of the 2198-D020-ERS3 drive are 8 amps and 20 amps at RMS (root mean square) values and 11.3 amps and 28.2 amps at 0-peak values, respectively.
