The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation Kinetix 5700 series 2198-D006-ERS3 module is a duo-axis inverter module designed to be installed and used in an Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation Kinetix 5700 servo drive system. It has a motor cable clamp with spacers for connecting to a motor cable. It also has a built-in ground terminal. The 2198-D006-ERS3 inverter module features 2 motor feedback (MF) connectors, 2 universal feedback (UFB) connectors, 2 digital inputs (IOD) connectors, and 2 Ethernet RJ45 connectors. The 2 Ethernet connectors are labeled “PORT1” and “PORT2.” The 2198-D006-ERS3 module can be mounted in a “Zero Stack” setup because it has a Zero Stack mounting tab or cutout. There is a small LCD screen and 4 navigation pushbuttons on the front panel of the 2198-D006-ERS3 module. There are several status indicator lights on the front panel of the module as well. The 2198-D006-ERS3 inverter module has an STO (safe torque off) connector, a DC bus connector, and a 24-Volt control input power connector on its top panel. On its bottom panel, the 2198-D006-ERS3 module has 2 motor brake or BC connectors, 2 motor power or MP connectors, and a cooling fan. The control input voltage rating of the 2198-D006-ERS3 inverter module is 24 Volts DC, and the main input voltage rating of the module is 458 to 747 Volts DC. The 2198-D006-ERS3 module’s nominal continuous output power rating is 1.7 kilowatts. The 2198-D006-ERS3 inverter module can be connected to one or more DC bus power supply modules at a time. It can also be mounted so that it is the furthest module away from the DC bus power supply because it has a low power utilization rating.
