Allen-Bradley 2198-H070-ERS is a Kinetix 5500 Ethernet I/P listed servo drive that typically controls the rotating motion of motors, particularly servo and induction motors. The 2198-H070-ERS features a lower footprint and a higher power density. The small design of the servo drive saves space and lowers installation costs. The twin Ethernet communication port supports the device level ring (DLR) topology. These communication ports offer integrated safety and motion control over ethernet, which simplifies and reduces wire connections. The AC input supply voltages for the 2198-H070-ERS is 240 volts AC, or 480 volts AC, with a continuous output current of 23 amps, a peak output current (rms) of 57.5 amps, and its output power ranging ranges from 7 to 14.6 kilowatts, depending on the input voltage supply. It has a capacitive energy absorption of 104.87 joule and a 97% efficiency. It provides a novel multi-axis common AC/DC bus connection. The 2198-H070-ERS drive delivers digital feedback, providing real-time motor performance data to the system. Its easy installation process is made possible by the cable clamp design and zero stack drive capability. With its redesigned display, the 2198-H070-ERS improves system diagnostics and tweaking. It also includes a certified safe torque-off functionality and load observer real-time technology. It improves and shortens commissioning time, compensates for unknown variables and mechanics of the process or system, and automatically adjusts inertia during operation to improve machine or process performance. It also has a redesigned display offering better system diagnostics and adjustment. The 2198-H070-ERS servo drive is a high-performance, dependable servo drive that may be used in a variety of applications.
