The 2198-H040-ERS drive is an Allen-Bradley servo drive that belongs to the Kinetix 5500 series and supports Ethernet/IP networks. The 2198-H040-ERS drive was designed to be a compact and space-efficient drive that supports direct panel mounting and can be mounted in a protective cabinet. The 2198-H040-ERS drive can accommodate relative humidity levels from 5% to 95% without condensation. It has an IP20 protection rating. The 2198-H040-ERS drive can operate with 3-phase AC input voltage ratings of 195 to 264V rms at a nominal voltage rating of 240VAC or of 324 to 528V rms at a nominal voltage rating of 480VAC. The drive’s input frequency range is 47 to 63 Hz. This servo drive supports a continuous output current to bus rating of 12.7 A and a peak output current to bus rating of 38.1 A. The 2198-H040-ERS drive supports a continuous output power to bus rating of 4 kW at 230VAC rms, 3-phase, and 8.4 kW at 480VAC rms, 3-phase. The 2198-H040-ERS drive has a hardwired safe torque-off (STO) feature, and it requires an STO connector for external device wiring and cascading safety connections. The hardwired STO feature operates with a maximum reaction time of 12 milliseconds, enhancing system safety.
