The Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley Logix5572 is a processor module in the ControlLogix family of controllers. The processor a communication speed of 12 megabytes per second while using Data Highway plus, Remote Input Output, DeviceNet, ControlNet, or SynchLink networks. The Logix5572 has a single USB 2.0 port to add to the communication capability range. The processor can handle 3 tasks, 1000 programs per task, and all event triggers. The Logix5572 is programmable and supports Relay ladder, Sequential Function Chart (SFC), and Function block programming languages. The user memory provided by the Logix5572 is 2 megabytes and 1,006 kilobytes of Input Output memory. The Logix5572 ControlLogix processor uses either the 1784-SD1 or the 1784-SD2 SD card for backup memory. Each Logix5572 processor module is supplied with an SD card installed. It is highly recommended to leave it as it is so that fault logs can be written on the card to help with troubleshooting. Alternative SD cards (not from Rockwell automation) may have different ratings (environmental and industrial) making them not ideal to be used with the Logix5572 processor. The Logix5572 is UL-US, UL-US_HAZ, and UL-CA listed. Additionally, the Logix5572 has C-TICK, Gost_R, KCC, Marine-ABS, Marine-DNV, and Marine-KRS certifications among others.
The Logix5572 has an isolation voltage rated at 30 Volts, an operating vibration, and a shock rating of 2G (with a frequency range of 10 to 500 Hertz) and 30G respectively. When not in operation, the Logix5572 can accommodate a shock of 50G. The current rating for the processor is 0.8 Amperes (5.1 Volts DC) and 5 milliamperes (1.2 Volts DC) respectively. The Logix5572 allows a maximum of 500 controller connections.
