The Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley Logix5571 is a logic controller module in the ControlLogix series. The module provides a USB port for communication. The Logix5571 also supports DeviceNet, ControlNet and several third party networks. The memory assigned to the user on the Logix5571 is capped at 2 megabytes with the Input Output memory capped at 980 kilobytes. At 5 Volts DC, the Logix5571 consumes a current of 800 milliamperes and 5 milliamperes at 1.2 Volts DC from the backplane. The power rating for the module is 2.5 watts while the heat dissipation is rated at 8.5 BTU per hour.
The Logix5571 logic controller module is programmable. The Logix5571 supports an Energy Storage module in place of a lithium battery. With on-board status indicators, the Logix5571 can be monitored and run-time faults detected as they occur. The controller module is chassis mountable. Although the Logix5571 supports a similar number of digital and analog Input Output connections (128,000 and 4,000) as other controllers in the same family, it supports a higher number of controller connections (500) while its counterparts supporting 250 controller connections. Being part of the ControlLogix 5570 group of controllers, the Logix5571 can be used for motion, process, high-availability, and discrete applications. Additionally modules in these family, including the Logix5571 operates at a temperature range of between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius. The Logix5571 supports Integrated Motion on EtherNet/IP, integrated SERCOS motion, and analog motion. The module features a small display that accommodates four characters in alpha or numeric formats. The Logix5571 operates in environments with a non-condensing relative humidity of between 5 and 95 percent.
