The Allen Bradley AN-X2-AB-DHRIO EtherNet/IP Gateway is a game-changer in industrial automation connectivity. This versatile device offers a spectrum of operating modes tailored to specific integration needs. In the Remote I/O Scanner mode, it facilitates seamless replacement of existing Remote I/O PLCs with ControlLogix or CompactLogix PACs, preserving I/O racks and supporting up to 32 racks with various baud rates. The Drive mode simplifies upgrading legacy Allen Bradley drives on Remote I/O to new EtherNet/IP-enabled drives, all without requiring PLC code adjustments. It accommodates up to four EtherNet/IP drives and provides flexible addressing options. In the HMI mode, legacy PanelViews on Remote I/O or DH+ can be effortlessly upgraded to PanelView Plus models on EtherNet/IP, ensuring no PLC code changes are needed. This mode supports up to eight PanelViews on the same network and facilitates upgrades on PLC5 or SLC networks. The DH+ mode acts as a bridge between EtherNet/IP and Data Highway Plus (DH+), allowing EtherNet/IP network devices to communicate with legacy processors on a DH+ network. It supports various DH+ baud rates and boasts a user-friendly web browser configuration. Finally, the Flex I/O Scanner mode lets PLCs on Remote I/O connect to and control 1794-AENT EtherNet/IP Flex adapters, replacing obsolete 1794-ASB adapters and supporting up to 16 EtherNet/IP connections. As for hardware specifications, this gateway features one RJ45 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port, a Phoenix 3-pin power connector, and a Phoenix 3-pin network connector. Its typical power consumption is 200 mA at 12 Vdc or 100 mA at 24 Vdc, with a maximum power dissipation of 2.4W.
