The 1756-LSP controller is a GuardLogix and ControlLogix controller from Allen-Bradley. It has a built-in serial port for communication with other devices. The 1756-LSP controller module can handle up to 250 controller connections at a single time. The non-volatile memory card that it is compatible with is the CompactFlash memory card. The 1756-LSP controller module ships with a battery known as the 1756-BA2 battery. This battery is a lithium battery, and when it eventually runs out, it can be replaced. The 1756-BA2 battery is used by the 1756-LSP safety controller to backup the contents of its CompactFlash memory in case of a power failure.
